After giving it a lot of thought and keeping a close eye on the weather, and most importantly, making sure everyone stays safe, The Williston Chamber of Commerce had to make a tough call.

The Women in Leadership Expo is getting a new date – it's now happening on November 2nd and 3rd. They get that this might mess with your plans, and The Williston Chamber is really sorry for any hassle this causes. But hey, they're hoping you can still join.

Here's the scoop on the rescheduled event:

New Dates: Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3, 2023
Times: No change
Speakers: Most of our awesome speakers are sticking around. If you're an attendee, keep an eye on your email, social media, or our event app in case there are any schedule tweaks by Friday morning.
Vendors and shopping: No change there.
If the new dates don't jive with your schedule, there are two options for you:

Full Refund: They can give you a full refund for your ticket, minus the transaction fees. Just give them a shout if that's what you'd like.
Scholarship Donation: Or, if you're feeling generous and want to pay it forward, you can donate your ticket to someone else as a scholarship. Your kindness could give someone who might not afford it the chance to attend.

The Chamber seriously appreciates your understanding and flexibility right now. They're looking for your input by Friday, October 27th. If you've got any questions or concerns, just pick up the phone and call 701-577-6000.

The Chamber is pumped to see you at the rescheduled Women in Leadership Expo on November 2nd and 3rd. Your presence is what's going to make this event a hit, and it'll be an inspiring and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

The Women in Leadership (WiL) Expo is a regional gathering that celebrates women in leadership, aiming to empower women at every stage of life and career. This two-day event will take place on November 2nd and 3rd at the Grand Williston Hotel & Conference Center. For more details, please contact the Williston Chamber at 701-577-6000.

In a spirit of community support, the Williston Chamber is committed to giving back this year by collecting donations to replenish essentials for the Williston Family Crisis Shelter. Expo attendees are encouraged to bring a donation, and those who do will receive an extra drink ticket on Thursday and an additional entry for a door prize on Friday.

Childcare and preschool providers are also a focus of the Chamber's attention this year. They have decided to allocate 12 percent of the net proceeds from the WiL Expo to support the Williston Early Educators Alliance, which provides essential hands-on training for childcare workers, a mandatory requirement for licensing.

This year, the focus of the WiL Expo is on the importance of personal branding, encompassing how you present yourself, communicate effectively, and boost your self-confidence.

This event features a lineup of inspiring speakers, including keynote speakers such as Lauren Messiah, a business coach and personal & celebrity stylist from Los Angeles, CA, and North Dakota Lieutenant Governor Tammy Miller. Breakout sessions, local women-owned boutiques and vendors, community leaders, and networking opportunities will also be part of the expo.

Speakers will delve into topics such as building a strong personal brand, mastering effective communication, and leveraging social media for career advancement. The WiL Expo equips women with the information, connections, resources, and motivation needed to succeed in their careers and life while leaving a lasting impression.

The Women in Leadership Expo begins on Thursday, November 2nd, at 4:30 pm with registration and a social hour featuring cocktails, local boutique shopping, and the chance to update professional headshots. Attendees can also benefit from one-on-one Personal Brand and Image Consulting with Lauren Messiah.

On Friday, November 3, the event continues with headshot sessions, networking activities, breakout sessions, and captivating speakers. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Jessica Delvo, Williston Chamber Marketing/Member Relations Manager, emphasizes that the primary goal of the expo is to bolster the confidence of women in the region. The event is designed to cater to the needs and interests of all area women, and their attendance is strongly encouraged.
