It was another great weekend in NW North Dakota. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Lots of people were out taking advantage of the sunny days.

I took a day trip with my mom to Minot on Friday. I love getting to spend time with mama, and she loves when I drive on road trips, so she doesn't have to!

Saturday I was up early to go to the Williston Downtowner's Association's Main Street Market. It was Kids Market Day and I love to see the young entrepreneurs out along side the regular weekly vendors. I purchased two hair scrunchies sewed by Raya & Hannah's Scunchies Boutique Shop.

Going downtown for the market has been part of my Saturday routine since July, and I'm sad that's it's ending soon. Don't miss the Main Street Market every Saturday through September 30th from 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. in downtown Williston at the Hedderich's lot.

After the market, I buzzed over to the Raymond Family Community Center for the Oh My Gourd, It's Fall, Craft and Vendor Show. There were over 90 booths, and I picked up a few cute things for myself from Betty Falcon, Moody Magick Designs and T&S Agate and Minerals.

The 17th Annual Art Fest with the James Memorial Art Center was also Saturday in Recreation Park. This year's theme was "Celebrating Everyday Heroes" and everyone in attendance was invited to put on a cape for a fun photo opportunity. I think the adults, myself included, really got into it.

This year's featured entertainment were The Chalk Twins from Florida. Devon and Lexi are identical twins, and they are renowned for their chalk murals of epic proportions. They created a beautiful chalk mural on canvas live at the festival.

It was really awesome to watch them work and create a piece highlighting and "Celebrating Everyday Heroes". It took them around 12 hours to complete the canvas, which will find a future home somewhere in Williston.

I love to attend JMAC's Art Fest each year because it's a great place to discover artists and purchase gifts. I did find a more birthday/Christmas gifts for friends and family and a little something for myself (a buffalo piece by artist Jessica Lunauna).

Now let's talk about the cutest thing I saw this weekend. I was looking for a parking spot at a local apartment complex when I spotted two people riding dinosaurs!

A father named Roger and and his daughter Quinn were dressed up in dinosaur costumes and walking around outside. Seeing them totally made my day and my whole week really.  As Roger said, "When your 3 year old wants to put on dinosaur costumes, you do it!" I totally agree, Roger.

See you next weekend, Mad Max.
