I have so many great childhood memories of going to an outdoor pool during the summer. I spent so much time at the community pool that my hair would turn green from the chlorine and it would stay green for months! It makes me sad that local kids don't have an outdoor pool to go to and haven't had one for many years. Thankfully some local groups are working to change that.

Williston Community Builders formed a partnership with the Pool Action Committee to bring back an outdoor pool to Williston. The City of Williston donated a 3 acre plot of land next to Cutting Field that is going to be a great location for Williston Water World to to come to fruition.

The PAC and Williston Community Builders hope to break ground on the Williston Water World outdoor pool project in August. They have raised 8.3 million dollars and are excited to be able to complete Phase 1 of the project.

Breaking ground means we are getting closer to Williston Water World becoming a reality. Still, the Williston Community Builders keep fundraising for the next phase of the project. They have teamed up with Edgar M. Boyd American Legion Post 37 in Williston for the 2nd Annual Pool Par-tee Golf Tournament.

Registration is open for interested golfers who should gather a four person team. There's limited team availability, so don't wait to sign up. The cost is $400 per team. All golfers must be 21+ to enter the tournament. Drinks and appetizers will be provided on every hole by sponsors.

The 2nd Annual Pool Par-tee Golf Tournament will take place Thursday, July 27 at the Williston Municipal Golf Course, 3401 42nd St W, Williston. It's a 9 hole tournament. There will be two flights. Flight 1 at 2:30pm and Flight 2 at 5:30pm.

This will be a fun golf tournament catered to golfers of all abilities. Join the Williston Community Builders and Williston Legion for this PAR-TEE raising money for the outdoor pool!

Sign up with your co-workers, spouse, or friends for a day of fun in the sun raising money for the outdoor pool.
