There is a group in Williston that has been doing a lot of good. Not just lately, but for the last several years. This special group of people has a common goal - making a difference in our community. Their mission is to "build a better community, one friendly face at a time"! Let me introduce you to the Williston Community Builders.

This group does tons of good with funds raised throughout the year. Their biggest fundraiser is the annual Festival of Trees. This is the big gala held in December where attendees wear their finest, eat the finest, and bid on the most beautifully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths.

Dinner Setting

This was the group's 8th annual event. 26 decorated trees adorned with lights, ornaments and special swag were auctioned off. When you see how much thought, time and effort was put in on each tree, you will know just how special all of them were this year.

The decorations were simply stunning, and some were just plain fun.

8 decorated wreaths were sold to the highest bidders too. They were decorated beautifully, and offered some nice bling with each one as well.

2022 Festival Wreaths

This was a big night for those that attended. It was an even bigger deal for Williston. Williston Community Builders presented three checks yesterday with funds raised from this year's Festival of Trees. One was for $10,000 for Connect Us Foundation. Another was for $50,000 for Opportunity Foundation to help pay for an accessible van for residents! These are all big...but the biggest check was presented to Williston Water World for $200,000! Other donations were made to local families going through some tough times as well.
