So Far, February has been amazingly nice. We have enjoyed decent temperatures, and a bit more sunshine the usual. All that changes next week.

Temperatures

Enjoy this weekend, especially Saturday. The temps will range from the 30's to 40's tomorrow, and the we start the dive to a chilly week ahead. By Tuesday, we will only see single digits, or low teens at best. Nighttime lows will dip below zero, so be prepared if you have travel plans next week.

Rain/Snow

The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of light rain on Saturday night, and then some snow on Sunday night. The latest outlook is only calling for a trace of snow, but if things shift, we might see 1 to 3 inches of snow for our area. Heavier snow looks likely for southeast North Dakota and much of South Dakota.  Central and southern Minnesota look to be in the bullseye as well.

Wind

With the latest clippers expected to move through the region next week, we will see some wind as well. Sunday night through Monday, wind gusts could be around 30-35 miles/hour. The rest of the week, winds will be around 20-25 miles/hour It's not the worst weather we have seen so far, but it's something to be aware of.
