Dakota Cowboy, a popular BEK TV show that captures the essence of the wild west and celebrates the rodeo lifestyle, is excited to announce the debut of a new section, Student Rodeo Athlete of the Week. This weekly feature honors great young rodeo competitors, their accomplishments, and their commitment to the sport.

The Student Rodeo Athlete of the Week feature strives to highlight the remarkable talents and accomplishments of North Dakota's student rodeo competitors. Dakota Cowboy thinks that by highlighting these young athletes, he may inspire and motivate the future generation of rodeo champions.

Dakota Cowboy asks viewers to contribute to making this program even more interesting and inclusive by nominating worthy student rodeo competitors for the Student Rodeo Athlete of the Week award. Rodeo fans are encouraged to nominate their favorite young athlete for consideration. Nominations can be submitted by emailing dakotacowboy@beknews.com.

"We are excited to introduce the Student Rodeo Athlete of the Week segment to 'Dakota Cowboy' and give young rodeo athletes the recognition they deserve," stated Tisa Peek, Co-Host of Dakota Cowboy. "Dakota Cowboy" is hosted by Peek and Wild Bill Palanuk. Peek began competing in rodeo as a student and continues to do so as a wife and mother. Peek and Palanuk were born in rural North Dakota and love Western culture and heritage.

Every Sunday at 7 p.m. CT, a new episode of Dakota Cowboy airs exclusively on BEK TV. It is also available live on bek news, and on the PRCA Pro Rodeo YouTube page, and all episodes are archived at bek.news/dakotacowboy.
