Another beautiful summer weekend is upon us. Get out and have some fun! Here's a calendar of this weekend's area events for you to check out.

Artist Reception
Friday, July 7th
Location: James Memorial Art Center
7:00pm-8:30pm
Free reception for the current shows in both Galleries. Artist Leah Olson will be in attendance from Minot. Also celebrate State Parks month with selected pieces created in many of ND’s state parks! Free refreshments served. Open to the public.

2023 Williams County Parks Summer Concert Series presents "Ted & Kari"

Location: Epping/Springbrook Dam
7:00pm-9:00pm

The concert is free and open to the public. Restrooms will be available, but please bring your own refreshments and chairs.

Ted and Kari are an acoustic duo from Tioga, ND that loves to have fun with a crowd! They play everything from rock to country to oldies to modern. In addition to covers, Ted and Kari incorporate original music.

9-1-1 Hero Poker Run
Saturday, July 8
Location: Fairview, MT
9:00am-5:00pm/mountain
Third annual poker run for emergency services within Richland County. Pay outs for high hand and low hand. The proceeds from the poker run, go to Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, and the education fund of the Lone Tree Chapter of ABATE of Montana.

Raffle tickets will be available from BTM council members and during the event itself.

Handicap parking will be available across the street from the Pavillion, a current placard required

2023 Sixth Infantry Encampment
Date: Saturday, July 08 2023
Location: Fort Buford State Historic Site
10:00a – 5:30a CT

Join the Sixth Infantry at Fort Buford for demonstrations of military life including a frontier printing demonstration at 1p and a rifle and cannon demonstration at 2p. We will also be demonstrating how the laundresses washed the soldiers' clothes (you are welcome to bring along socks or a t-shirt to learn!). Education on how the weather station, telegraph and signal corps functioned at the fort will be offered as well!

The Hello Girls
Saturday, July 8 at 7:30pm
Location: Watford City High School Performing Arts Center
Fargo-Moorhead Community theater visits Watford City for their production of The Hello Girls.
From New York to Paris, from ragtime to jazz: THE HELLO GIRLS chronicles the story of America’s first women soldiers in this new musical inspired by history. These intrepid heroines served as bilingual telephone operators on the front lines, helping turn the tide of World War I. They then returned home to fight a decades-long battle for equality and recognition, paving the way for future generations. (see poster below)

Farmers Market at Burgers in the Park

Come for Burgers in the Park sponsored by the Lion's Club and the Farmers Market sponsored by the Lewis and Clark Trail Museum. Every Saturday between now and Labor day weekend.

Open Roller Skate:

Location: Watford City Rough Rider Center
Skate rentals for $4
Stop in with a membership or get a daily pass for $7. Open roller skating is 1-5pm on July 9th, 23rd and 30th -- the indoor pool is also open from 1-6pm those days. Why not bring the family and do both!
