Benefit Coming Together For One Of Williston’s Biggest Supporters

Friends and family have come together to host a benefit for one of Williston's biggest supporters, Vivian Kalmik!

Vivian has lived in Williston for 54 years and is known and loved by so many! She has done so much and is involved in so many community programs and events! We started to name all she is involved with or has volunteered for, and this is just the start! Youth Education on Stage, Band Day, The Thursday Musical Club, Choke Cherry Festival, Miss North Dakota Little Sister Program, Williston CVB, UMVF, James Memorial Art Center, American Legion Auxiliary, United Way, Relay For Life, Entertainment Inc, Community Concerts, UMARC, Lewis & Clark Trail Museum, Readersville, Special Olympics, Prairie Rose State Games, Kids Day Out, Holiday Lights Drive and more.

As you can see, Vivian has given a ton. The time has come for us to return the favor. You may not know that this constant giver was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August of 2022. She has been a warrior with all her treatments and surgeries, however, medical bills have started to accumulate. We ask you to join all of us on Friday, May 19th at the Old Armory 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm to support Miss Vivian.

There is a lot to cram into 3 hours. Organizers are planning a free-will donation supper, silent and live auction, and live music provided by local artists! Things get underway at 5:00 pm with the free-will meal, and they will serve until gone. The live auction kicks off at 6:30 pm, and the silent auction will run until 7:00 pm. Music has been near and dear to Vivian, so it's fitting that live music will be included just for her. A creative table will be set up and there will also be a 50/50 drawing.

There are many people that live by the example Vivian sets every day. Her positive attitude, love of family and community, and constant need to serve is something we should all live by...and Vivian does it extremely well. She has given so much to Williston.
