Ready to dive into something awesome? The 2024 Youth Art Show is happening right now at the MonDak Heritage Center in Sidney until April 27th. But before we get into the nitty-gritty, let's chat about why art classes and supporting local artists are so important.

Art classes aren't just about painting pretty pictures or sculpting cool stuff. They're about fostering creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking skills in our youth. By supporting these classes, we're nurturing the next generation of artists, innovators, and problem-solvers.

And speaking of support, there's something magical about backing our local artists. When we show love to the talent right in our own communities, we're not just investing in beautiful creations – we're investing in our neighborhoods, our culture, and our future.

Now, back to the show! The 2024 Youth Art Show is all about showcasing the incredible talent of 7th to 12th graders from nearby schools. With paintings, drawings, mixed media, and more on display, it's a celebration of creativity like no other.

The artwork underwent evaluation by expert judges, resulting in awards being distributed across each age category for first through third place, along with honorable mentions. And now it's YOUR turn to have a say. Your vote counts for the People's Choice Award winners in each age group. It's your chance to make a difference and show some love to these budding artists.

With over 445 artworks from 11 local schools, there's no shortage of inspiration to be found at the MDHC. So come on down, take a look, and cast your vote for your favorites. And let's not forget to give a big shoutout to their sponsors, Edward Jones Financial Advisors: Jerry Hughes, Jamie Malsam, Nick Lonski, Lauren Sukut, and Jace Johnson.

Don't miss out – the MonDak Heritage Center is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturdays from 1 PM to 4 PM. And guess what? Admission is totally FREE! Got any questions? Give them a ring at (406) 433-3500 or shoot them an email at mdhc@richland.org. Can't wait to see you there!
