For more than 135 years, United Way has been stepping up to build stronger, more resilient communities. And they're not doing it alone. It's a team effort. United Way works together with partners who share their vision. Today's United Way is still bringing people, organizations and communities together around a common cause, a common vision, and a common path forward.

Williston Basin United Way is partnering with Busted Knuckle Brewery tonight. Help raise some funds for local charities and come meet members of the Williston Basin United Way board from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Busted Knuckle Brewery is located at 213 11th Street West, Williston.

Thanks to Busted Knuckle Brewery, $1 from every pint will benefit local charity organizations that assist disabled individuals, promote self-sufficiency, and build our community.

One of the non-profit agencies supported in part by your local United Way is Great Plains Food Bank. They shared this story about their work:
"Starla is the proud mother of one daughter and has six grandchildren. She was at a Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry distribution in Williston, where she received a weeks' worth of nutritious food. Starla's income comes through Social Security Disability, but she shared that it doesn't stretch far enough to meet all her needs. She is relived she can supplement her groceries with food items she receives from Great Plains Food Bank. Her son-in-law was recently laid off, so she also picks up food for her daughter's family, as well."
Your interest and generosity helps nonprofits like Great Plains Food Bank keep our communities in northwest North Dakota healthy.
